Students enrolled in the Primary Education Bachelor's Degree Program are provided with the opportunity to observe qualified teaching and classroom management in faculties and practice schools, to practice teaching and classroom management skills in real environments, and to receive continuous and qualified feedback on their performance.
In line with the objectives of the Primary Education Bachelor's Degree Program, the courses in the program curriculum aim to equip students with theoretical, practical and professional qualifications. An orientation program is organized for new students in each fall semester. Planned by the instructors, this program gives new students an opportunity to get to know the instructors and each other. In the orientation program, students are provided with information on the department, the faculty, Sakarya University and Sakarya province. Each student is assigned to an academic advisor among the teaching staff. Students can communicate with their advisors on a variety of subjects such as course selection, career planning and social activities.

Opportunities Provided By The Program
Students in Primary Education can pursue a double major with the Departments of Theology, Preschool Education and Special Education.
There are also special interest courses in the areas of Language Education, Health in Education, Innovative Thinking, Inclusive Education, Game-Based Learning, and Art Education with the aim of helping students find their area of interest.
Primary Education Department has been accredited by EPDAD since 2020. There are ERASMUS agreements with Spain, Poland and Romania, and MEVLANA foreign exchange agreements with Azerbaijan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Morocco and Kazakhstan. The department also has agreements with various universities in Turkey as part of the FARABI program.
